St. Georges Day Parade and Celebrations at Brentwood FC in Aid of Help for Heroes - Saturday 23rd April 2011
The Academy’s first official public appearance with the Senior Band
We were invited to Brentwood FC to help celebrate ‘St Georges Day’ and help the club raise money for the ‘Help for Heroes’ Charity.
Just like a week earlier we graced the hallowed turf of play off pushing Ryman div 1 North Brentwood FC just before the kick-off and again at half time against Cheshunt FC.
The band along with the first official outing of the Academyput on a high quality performance in front of a record crowd of 763 fans. We not only played to the upstanding players officials and crowd ‘God Save the Queen’ to kick the match off, we also played an ensemble of well known tunes whilst performing some of our new Marches to the delight of the fans including the Mayor of Brentwood, Mr David Tee, and ex West Ham and England Legends Julian Dicks and John Moncur.
Happy St Georges Day! And BIG congratulations to the Academy! |
